4Pocket Oscidia is a new advanced wave synthesizer plugin for iOS (iPhone / iPad) and macOS with wave import, wave package and more.
The synthesis of waves has been the big subject in the world of synthesizer for four to five years. Countless hardware and software synthesizers have been published. Now the granular approach is adopted.
Although new Wavetable synths are still published regularly, a new one is now available on iOS. 4Pockets, developer of beautiful WavecLoud and Stringlab synths, has just published Oscidia, a new wave synthesizer with advanced features.
4 Oscidia cupboards
Oscidia is a new AUV3 synthesizer plugin rich in functionality for iOS and macOS. With a single purchase, you get both versions.
4 OSCIDIAPP has three oscillators per voice, and each oscillator can host a different wave or wavetable. You can choose between the sinus, the saw, the square, the triangle, the supersaw, the supersquare and a wavetable.
Of course, it is possible to import and export compatible wavetables using drag and drop directly to the integrated wave manager.
A unique feature is the additive wave, with which you can make your own shapes using three additive modes: additive, FM1 and FM2, each with different parameters – an excellent addition for glass and metal sounds.
Then, the Wavetables also support the morphage and deformation capacities (phase distortion). You can do it manually or in motion using the MOD matrix.
The types of sinusoidal and triangular waves both support several wave folding modes, which also allow a dramatic morphing in real time. In addition, you can work with the Sync, Xmod and Ring MOD oscillator between OSC1 and OSC2. In addition, there is a noise generator.
Treatment
From there, it goes to a multimode filter section with five different types of filters: 12/24 dB modes and LP / BP / HP morphable filter modes. You can modify them manually with the usual commands or automate them with the MOD matrix.
On the modulation board, you can find four envelopes which can be passed to the classic ADSR behavior or to FEGS (generators of fluid envelope) with several segments.
There are also four LFOs per voice multiple per voice. All this modulation is programmable with the integrated modulation matrix.
To refine your sounds, 4Pocket Occida also hosts a multi-FX processor with various algorithms: Reverb, Delay, Chorus, Haas and Phaser.
Another highlight of the synth is its unique argument / sequencer. It allows you to play up to three simultaneous arps at the same time.
Each ARP can directly control various synth engine parameters, including three oscillator levels independently in step, pitch, filtering morphe and cut. At the same time, it can control the sequencer parameters such as the probability, the door, the repetition of note and the links. This gives you tons of flexibility.
For users of expressive keyboards, it is also good to know that 4 -COCKET OSCIDES are fully compatible MPE. The synth is also shipped with various presets which have the engine. I linked videos below from the developer.

First impression
It looks like a beautiful powerful synthesizer for iOS. The fact that it is also compatible with MacOS is a welcome bonus. Since I use and really appreciate the Stringlab and WavecLoud 4Pockets applications (part of my live configuration), I expect this application to be at the same level and will end up on my device.
