5 Android phones that you should buy instead of the Pixel 10 Pro

The Google Pixel 10 Pro is a hell of an impressive phone. I have been using it for a while now, and although my opinion is not quite ready, I can say safely that the Pixel 10 Pro is the Android phone that I plan to use in the predictable future. Its equipment is great, the cameras are incredibly powerful and Google’s software experience is unrivaled.

The Pixel 10 Pro is roughly the perfect Android phone for me, but that does not necessarily mean that it is the best Android phone for everyone. You may want most of the features of the Pixel 10 Pro, but at a lower price. Maybe you want a more competent chipset or a more comfortable design.

Whatever your preferences, the fact is that there are many other handsets to choose. Before choosing the Pixel 10 Pro as next Android phone, here are five others that you may buy instead.

He does none SO Similar to Pixel 9 Pro – one of my favorite phones from last year. And when I say that the phones are similar, I really think. Pixels 10 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro have conceptions, screens, cameras and practically identical batteries. In many ways, they are the same phones.

The main advantage of obtaining the Pixel 10 Pro is its new Tensor G5 Tensor chipset, although the amount of advantages which is really depends on what you want to remove it. The G5 is faster than the G4, although it is not the killer of Snapdragon Qualcomm that we hoped that it could be. A more tangible advantage of the G5 chip is access to AI’s features like Magic Cue and the Google Pro Zoom.

There are other advantages to obtain the Pixel 10 Pro on the Pixel 9 Pro, such as a slightly higher peak brightness and a battery which is around 3% larger. You will also get integrated magnets for the Qi2 load, which is a very nice advantage. However, it is roughly where the differences end.

At its full retail price of $ 999, I would absolutely not recommend buying the Pixel 9 Pro on the Pixel 10 Pro. That said, if you can find the Pixel 9 Pro reduced to $ 799, $ 699 or less, it can be a great way to get the most of the Pixel 10 Pro experience for hundreds of dollars less.

In the same vein of the search for the Pixel 10 Pro experience at a lower price, the Pixel 10 base model is another phone that is absolutely worth it to be considered, although for different reasons for the Pixel 9 Pro.

One of these reasons is the Tensor G5 chip. Although hardcore performance can always leave something to imagination, it is the value of having a phone with Google’s latest chip. Whether it is Magic Cue, Camera Coach or Live Translate, the Pixel 10 has all the same new AI features which are available on the Pixel 10 Pro. In addition, the largely improved NPU of the G5 means that the Pixel 10 will probably obtain certain features that the Pixel 9 Pro will not be able to support over time. Without forgetting, choosing the Pixel 10 means that you always get the same excellent magnetic load experience available on the Pixel 10 Pro.

Pixel 10 has some material drawbacks compared to Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro, namely a low -resolution display, less capable and less RAM camera sensors. If these things are important to you, the Pixel 9 Pro is probably always the best alternative. However, if you prefer to sacrifice these things for the new tensor chip and the magnetic load Qi2 (which is really fantastic), the Pixel 10 is a better adjustment.

Now is it worth saving $ 200 and obtaining the Pixel 10 instead of the Pixel 10 Pro? As a person who is quite serious about smartphone photography, I always think that the pro is worth doing follies. But if you don’t need the best cameras and try to monitor your budget, the regular pixel 10 is an excellent purchase.

Getting away from the Google pixel family, the Samsung Galaxy S25 is another good alternative to Pixel 10 Pro. There are not many Android compact flagship products available in 2025, but the S25 is one of them – and it is also a fairly good.

One of my favorite things about the Galaxy S25 is its equipment. The S25 weighs only 162 grams and measures 7.2 mm thick, which makes it considerably lighter and thinner than the Pixel 10 of 207 grams and 8.5 mm thick. I wouldn’t say that the Pixel 10 Pro is an uncomfortable phone, but the S25 is more pleasant to hold, especially if you use your phone frequently in one hand.

Another great advantage of the Galaxy S25 is its performance, because its Elite Snapdragon 8 chip is an absolute beast. You may not notice any difference between the Galaxy S25 and the Pixel 10 Pro for regular daily use, but if you are a big player, the S25 is the better suitable smartphone. In addition, if you have other Samsung devices such as a Galaxy or Galaxy Buds watch, they will work better with a Samsung phone as opposed to a Google.

Although the Galaxy S25 is a very good phone, some aspects are not at the same level as the Pixel 10 Pro. The cameras of the S25 are not as good (especially its ultrairs and television sensors), it has a much smaller battery and there is no magnetic load. But at $ 799, it is also a good amount cheaper than the Pixel 10 Pro. If you are on the market for a smaller Android phone and valuable performance and comfort above all, the Galaxy S25 is a solid option.

If you are thinking of buying the Pixel 10 Pro, part of the reason is likely because you want a flagship Android phone in a relatively compact package. There are certainly other reasons to buy the Pixel 10 Pro, but if this is one of your main priorities, I invite you to also watch the Motorola Razr Ultra.

When unfolded, the 7 -inch ultra razr screen is not exactly manageable in the same way as the 6.3 -inch screen of the Pixel 10 Pro. However, the magic of the Ultra RAZR is that you can fold the phone and always have access to its 4 -inch coverage display – of which you can respond to texts, control settings and execute almost all the applications you want. In this regard, this is really the ultimate compact phone.

But a unique factor is not all that Razr Ultra has for him. The phone also has the same Elite Snapdragon 8 chip found in the Galaxy S25, very good cameras, excellent battery life and a much faster load than you get on the Pixel 10 Pro. It is a really impressive package.

Like any phone, however, the Ultra RAZR is not perfect. Its AI features are not as impressive as those of the Pixel 10 Pro, and the promise of Motorola for three major updates of the operating system pale compared to the seven years of updates that Google guarantees for its Pixel phones. In addition, with a starting price of $ 1,300, the Ultra RAZR is Really Dear. This is not the most practical pixel 10 pro alternative, but if you are looking for something a little different and you have money to lose, I think it’s worth keeping your shopping list.

Finally, we have the OnePlus 13. This is a phone that often finds its way on these types of lists, and for a good reason: the OnePlus 13 is one of the best overall Android phones that I used this year.

Regarding performance, the OnePlus 13 has the excellent Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Its configuration to Triple Camera is one of my favorites with which to shoot, the 6.82 inch display is large but magnificent, and the Oxygenos de OnePlus software is one of my favorite Android skins. The 6,000 mAh battery is sufficient for two days of use on a single load, and when this time arrives, 80W wired load speeds are the fastest on a phone in the United States. Without forgetting, the blue leather on the above model looks and is incredible.

I delighted a lot on the OnePlus 13 this year, just like my other Android authority colleagues – and that does not happen by accident. The OnePlus 13 is really special, and with a retail price of $ 100 less than the Pixel 10 Pro, it is an incredibly tempting alternative.
