As announced in May, Google gave its QR code scanner by default on Android an appreciable overhaul.
When launching (via the shortcut of the quick parameter tiles or the locking screen), there is a beautiful animation of the rounded square meeting. The main visual change is how Google has consolidated all the buttons of this interface to a pill near the bottom of the screen.
Flash on / off was previously in the upper right corner with comments. “Analyze from the photo” to open the systems selector is no longer in itself, while the near “X” has been deleted. “Scan Code QR” is smaller at the top of the screen so as not to hide anything in the viewfinder.

In terms of updated features, once a QR code has been identified, Google has it in a standard format (if it is stylized like Chrome), with a material that you shape. The lower leaf with the URL has been modified with more actions. Besides “open”, there is now a “copy text” and “share” practical.
The redesign of the Android QR code scanner is widely deployed with Version 25.26.35 Google Play services. Restart your device if it does not yet appear.
Google previewed this comes back in May (V25.19) – “[Phone] We have updated the user interface in the QR code scanner to improve the global user experience ”- fairly long waiting.
