Update your iPhone to iOS 18.6 now to correct critical vulnerability


Apple iOS 18.6 update, published earlier this week, has corrected a critical vulnerability that is exploited by pirates in the wild.

BIP computer report that the bug, followed under the name CVE-2025-6558allowed attackers to target Google Chrome users by manufacturing malicious HTML pages, potentially allowing them to execute arbitrary code on the victim’s computer.

The bug was added to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Infrastructure (CISA) vulnerability catalog, which listed it as being actively exploited. This makes it much more dangerous than bugs that only work in theory, which is why you should update your devices and software as soon as possible.

The bug mainly affects Chrome – Google corrected the vulnerability on July 15 with an update (Chrome version 138.0.7204.157), and you must update your Chrome browser now if you have not done so before. Google has not published all information on vulnerability, adage that it is waiting for the majority of users to update their browsers.
