New results reveal that the next Samsung One 8.5 update for Galaxy devices will likely facilitate the use of navigation on a new device, which Samsung has years behind the rest of the Android industry.
Google introduced navigation on full -fledged gestures to Android with the output of Android 10 in 2019. The iPhone type system has since become the default value of new devices, with conventional three -button navigation available in the settings. On most devices, users are presented with an option to choose the system they prefer during the configuration process.
On Samsung devices, however, navigation on gestures is almost ignored.
Samsung is lacking its devices in the three buttons parameter and does not present users with an option to choose between buttons and gestural navigation during configuration on a new Galaxy device. Instead, users must dive into the settings to modify it, assuming that they know that it exists first. It is apparently ready to change with an IU 8.5.
Sammyguru find That Samsung builds a new option that allows users to select between three ends and gestural navigation during the configuration process on a new Galaxy device. This option was found in “an early version of the User Interface 8”, but is not live on Galaxy Z Fold 7 or Flip 7, which implies that we may not see until the Galaxy S26 series is launching with an 8.5 user interface (according to the new Samsung software calendar).
That said, it is above all an assumption for the moment. Samsung could Add this option to an IU 8.5 (and this seems to be the most logical conclusion), but there is no guarantee.
What do you think of potential change?
Meanwhile, we are still waiting for the full deployment of an IU 8 outside the new foldables from Samsung, which should be at any time now.
