  • The beta version of the Samsung Internet Browser application has acquired a new feature called “Auto close parameters”.
  • The activation of this parameter allows the application to close the unused tabs for you.
  • Users can choose to erase inactive tabs after a defined number of days or ask the AI to decide whether a tab should be closed.

When you use a mobile browser, it is easy to forget the number of tabs you have opened. And it is even easier to forget to close these tabs. Having too many open tabs can lead to slower performance. To help users manage their tab situation more efficiently, the Samsung Internet Browser application obtains a new feature.

An update has been deployed for the beta version of the Samsung Internet browser. Spotted by SammyguruThis update (version 29.0.0.27) introduces a new parameter in the tab management menu called “Automatic closing parameters”. This function allows the application to automatically close your unused tabs after a defined time.

The browser will keep all your tabs open by default, but if you want to use the automatic closing settings, you can choose to close the inactive tabs after seven or 30 days. In addition, there is a third option in this parameter called “With Smart Tab Management”. This option allows AI to decide whether or not to close a tab. According to the description, he closes the tabs “as soon as he detects that you do not use them.”

The parameter seems to be useful for people who often have trouble managing their tabs. For the moment, the automatic fence settings are only available in the beta version of the application. It is not known when Samsung plans to bring the parameter to the stable version.
