Google Deepmind has published a new version of their IA model perch, which helps environmentalists to analyze bioacoustic data from diversified ecosystems, this update is widespread with a wider range of animals, so that it can analyze the audio of Hawaiian screens with coral reefs.
Scientists use underwater microphones and hydrophones to collect dense audio with animal vocalizations, but to give meaning to so much data is a massive company. This new version of Perch, which is an open model available on Kaggle, helps scientists to protect endangered species by helping them to process this data, so that scientists can focus their efforts on work in the field.
