This Artificial Intelligence (AI) Stock Could Be the Nvidia of Quantum Computing

  • Nvidia has not become the king of artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of day; On the contrary, a series of innovations in the past two decades has built the basics of the current success of the company.

  • In the same way, Alphabet builds an ecosystem with many products and services supplied by AI – Quantum IT being an area where the company makes a notable land.

  • Despite these innovations, the alphabet stock remains at a drop in discounts compared to its large technological peers.

In 1999, an emerging semiconductive company called Nvidia Invented a chipset called the graphic processing unit (GPU) – a product which, at the time, few people realized that they would need a day.

Two decades ago, the GPUs were mainly marketed towards players and graphic designers. But the visionary CEO of Nvidia, Jensen Huang, saw the broad potential of these advanced chips before anyone.

When the GPU was initially released, AI applications were both niche and barely imagined. But Huang understood that the most important problems in the world would be solved by anticipating Latent needs – Abilities that people will require at some point in the future, even if they cannot fully describe them today.

Huang realized that GPUs could be set up for a more sophisticated problem solving this traditional Cpus At the time, he could not manage effectively, finally becoming the fundamental layer on which the modeling, research and analysis of artificial intelligence data (AI) were built.

In a similar way, the Internet and Juggernaut Internet and Cloud Computing Alphabet (Nasdaq: Goog) (Nasdaq: Googl) Has quietly pushed the limits in a new pocket in the AI kingdom which attracts attention: quantum computers.

Let us dive into the innovative approach of the alphabet to develop quantum applications and explore how the progress of the company is parallel to that of the pioneer role of Nvidia in the AI before its alliance.

In December, Alphabet unveiled its latest breakthrough in the Quantum IT arms race: a processor called Willow. With 105 qubits and improved algorithmic characteristics through error correction, Willow may appear as another incremental improvement compared to previous generations of quantum chips released by alphabet and its peers.

Where Willow drew the attention of AI enthusiasts, it was through an experience in sampling random circuits (RCS), in which its quantum treatment was measured compared to conventional supercomputers. In this study, Alphabet claims that Willow has resolved a sophisticated series of calculations in less than 5 minutes which would take the most competent supervisors today, he estimates that 10 septillions to finish.

Although the quantum supremacy of alphabet does not have many commercial uses today, the idea here is that the innovations of the company and the technological breakthroughs are similar to those of Nvidia and the invention of the GPU in the late 1990s. Willow and the GPU represent both the underlying evidence that Alphabet and Nvidia have been at the forefront of innovations in which conventional approaches are not in conventional approaches measure of competing on a large scale.

Similar to Nvidia, Alphabet does not build its AI activities through a singular lens. Under its umbrella, alphabet a tensorflow – an open source automatic learning platform. In addition, the Alphabet Google Quantum team operates an open source software framework called CIRQ, which helps Python developers to research and creation of applications. Finally, Google Deepmind serves as a research laboratory covering various aspects of the AI spectrum, including quantum computers.

For me, the formation of the Ecosystem of the ALPHABET AI is closely aligned with the approach of NVIDIA. Apart from its hardware specialty, NVIDIA also offers software via its CUDA infrastructure. This decision finally created a virtuous cycle in which developers creating generators’ applications continuously require an additional GPU and software capacity – leading to a technological self -reinforced gap for NVIDIA.

I think Alphabet uses a similar strategy, betting that conventional IT will finally become exhausted by workloads of the increasingly sophisticated AI. When this happens, the alphabet will have already archived the classic computer jump to Quantum.

Just as Nvidia did throughout the AI revolution thanks to its GPUs and its software platform, one day could be positioned as the main ecosystem on which quantum applications are developed.

Throughout the AI revolution, many peers of the alphabet have experienced a significant expansion in their multiple evaluation.

Currently, however, Alphabet is negotiating roughly in accordance with its term price ratio on profits (P / E) at three years. Not only is the reduction of evaluation to its peers, but I think it is overestimated.

Over the past three years, Alphabet has continued to innovate in several areas of AI, including new research, video, electronic, cybersecurity and, of course, equipment such as quantum chips. Nevertheless, the increase in these investments does not seem to be fully price in the long -term financial success of the company.

Just as Nvidia has proven to be one of the most lucrative long -term purchases of the decade, I see the alphabet positioned to follow a period of prolonged rupture with a notable expansion of evaluation while its products supplied by AI continue to progress and become a more central part of the narrative of growth of the company. For these reasons, I think that the alphabet stock is landless and looks like a convincing opportunity at its current price level.
