Apple is currently testing iOS 26, which he should go out next month with the iPhone 17 family. The new version of the operating system is delivered with modified animations, which makes the whole experience much faster.
Interestingly, the real change in the synchronization of animation is quite small – about 150 milliseconds faster. But there is a much more important difference in the rhythm, and that affects how fast it feels. This, in turn, makes the whole operating system faster despite the fact that nothing has changed its performance.
If you are a fan of Android pure and hard, you have probably gone a few times by reading this – many skins allow you to modify the animations (which are generally faster than Apple to start), and you can go further thanks to the developer options if you expect not to touch something else, which makes all the events shorter by default in terms of exploitation.
In fact, that makes everything feel faster, even if nothing has changed the animations apart, so Apple is clearly on something here, it’s just funny how much time it takes to “discover” such “revolutionary” adjustments that have been available to its competitors for years.
