Parag Agrawal, the former Twitter CEO, now called X, has returned to the technology industry with a startup, Parallel Web Systems Inc., focused on helping artificial intelligence agents collect and analyze information on the web independently.
Agrawal said Friday, in a LinkedIn article that the first major product of his startup, called Deep Research API, surpasses humans and the main models of AI, including the OPENAI GPT-5, on certain research references.
“We already have millions of research tasks every day,” said Agrawal, adding that a public enterprise already automates human work flows with parallel and coding agents use its tools to find documents and debug the problems. Agrawal raised $ 30 million in funding for parallel and run a team of 25 people, Bloomberg reported THURSDAY.
Parallel Marks Agrawal of Agrawal in the technological space since Elon Musk ousted it as well as other level C leaders after the boss of Tesla took over Twitter in October 2022, ultimately changing the name of the social media platform in X.
The leaders then continued Musk, saying that they were refused around $ 128 million in departure compensation after their contracts were suddenly terminated. A district court decided to advance the case in November, but a final verdict was not returned.
Agrawal knew that AI would be his next company
AGRAWAL has built automatic learning models on Twitter while being director of technology under the CEO of Jack Dorsey. Agrawal then directed Twitter from November 2021 to October 2022.
After being dismissed from Twitter, Agrawal told Bloomberg that he had plunged into AI research, reading articles and writing code again. He said that he had refused several offers of technological companies in difficulty looking to “clean the shit”, knowing that the AI was on which he wanted to concentrate afterwards.
AI agents, not humans, will manage the Internet, says Agrawal
The first idea of AGRAWAL AI was a health care startup fueled by AI, but he realized that AI agents, not humans, would become the greatest users of the web.

“There will be more internet agents than humans. You will probably deploy 50 agents on your behalf to be on the internet,” Agrawal told Bloomberg. “I think it will happen soon, like next year.”
Agents have the next great thing on Ethereum, coinbase of developers say
AGRAWAL’s bet on AI agents also applies to recent forecasts of Coinbase developers, who described autonomous AI agents last week as the “largest power user” in Ethereum.
Kevin Leffew and Lincoln Murr de Coinbase said that a little used HTTP web standard, combined with the Ethereum (EIP) Improvement (EIP) proposal, could open a new era of electronic commerce on the blockchain.
AI agents could execute stablecoin transfers without human involvement, allowing everything, autonomous taxis that pay their fuel to AI models that monetize content on demand, the pair said.
