Black mirror Creator Charlie Brooker could be between seasons to make his Netflix dystopian success, but the writer still thinks of new ways whose technology could alleviate our future.
Hollywood editors often fear obtaining notes from studio leaders on their scripts. But Brooker sees a way for this creative process to worsen – if the leaders are starting to show their scripts to an AI model.
Speaking at the Edinburgh TV Festival, Brooker described a scenario where the scripts would be introduced into a machine that could produce a rough animated cut (an “anatomatic”) of the film from which studio changes could be suggested.
“It seemed plausible to me, because fundamentally, the scenario becomes an prompt,” the British writer told the public, in the comments reported by Deadline And confirmed by a festival representative. “It worries me.”
That said, Brooker said that he was not afraid that writers will be completely replaced by AI because a machine model cannot replace the nuances of writing a human experience (“I hope there is still work to keep the keyboards warm by the flesh,” he said).
In comments reported elsewhereBrooker added that fans had told him that they preferred anthology drama when it was a British production and “did not have Americans in it” and that the end was more constant.
“Each episode had been dark and horrible and had a dark and horrible end, then the series went to Netflix,” he recalls. “Sometimes people say to me:” I prefer when there were not Americans and everyone had bad teeth … and the worst thing that ever happened to them, then they died. Can you do that please? … Netflix never said, “Could you make it a little more joyful and American?” I was just thinking, if I only made ends at the bottom, a, it’s really predictable and b, I bored very.
“I was in a way experienced and thought” Can I write an optimistic story? ” “, He recalls. “What’s going on if I do this?” It was terrifying. [And] It was one of our (episodes) the most popular that we have made. »»
