  • A Vivo representative has revealed details of the next X300 series.
  • The Vivo X300 is confirmed as smaller than last year, with the same dimensions as the Vivo X200 Pro Mini.
  • The VIVO X300 should include a 50 MP telephoto lens with an apochromatic filter, while the pro model will use a 200 MP sensor.

The news of the expected rejoicing of the Samsung series S series with the next Galaxy S26 already influence manufacturing decisions in China. Vivo is the first phone brand to announce a similar decision, announcing a modification of its next X300 series.

Last year, the Vivo X200 series had four models in China: standard X200, X200 Pro, X200 Ultra and an X200 Pro Mini. On these devices, the X200 and the X200 Pro were launched in certain parts of Asia and Europe, while the other two have remained exclusive to China. This year, however, Vivo seeks to limit the series to only three models.

According to a Weibo post (In Chinese) by Han Boxiao, product manager at Vivo, the X300 is the spiritual successor of the smallest Vivo X200 Pro Mini. Unlike the standard Vivo X200, which is delivered with a large 6.67 -inch screen, the X300 will include an LTPO panel of 6.31 inches smaller.

Boxiao had also referred to this design change last week by comparing glasses on the Vivo X300 to the smallest iPhone 16 Pro rather in Pro Max.

Meanwhile, the display is confirmed to be manufactured by the Chinese display manufacturer Boe, which also provides screens in OnePlus and Oppo. The display will also receive a mode of protection of special eyes, reaching a low light of only 1 nit. The screen is also set to include 2,160 Hz a high frequency PWM fat for reduced eye fatigue.

In addition to these specifications, Boxiao has also confirmed that the Vivo X300 would include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner – an optical scanner upgrade seen on the Vivo X200 and the X200 Pro Mini.

In addition to confirming the screen size, Boxiao indicates that the Vivo X300 will include an APO periscopic telephoto lens (apochromatic) and a Macrojective telephoto telephoto. This last function is likely to be facilitated by the same telephoto lens.

Meanwhile, the Chinese escape digital cat station in a jobsaid that the Periscope telephoto would use a Sony Lyt602 50MP sensor below. These specifications easily overshadow the camera configuration of the iPhone 17, which still does not have a dedicated telephoto lens sensor.

Finally, the representative says that Vivo X300 “retains all its central DNA, including pro level performance”, indicating an upgrade to the next dimensity of Mediatek 9500, which should be revealed later this month.

Recently, Boxiao also confirmed that the cameras were on the Vivo X300 Pro, including its 200MP telephoto lens identical to that used on X200 Pro and the ultra last year – but only in resolution. The X300 PRO obtains a new underlying sensor specially designed for Vivo, as well as optical stabilization improvements, color algorithms and development monitoring.
