More than a week after Android 16 QPR1 has become stable, Google is now starting to deploy the OTA update “without erasure of data” to BETA 3.1 testers.
This live update allows you to leave the Android beta program without erasing that deletes all your data.
Access the Settings> System> Software updates> System updates and make sure it says “Exit Android Beta No wiping of data. “The update size is less than 100 MB and provides the safety patch of September 2025.
After Beta 3.1, those who did not want to test QPR2 Beta 1 chose their device Google.com/android/beta.
We see the ota on our pixel tablet, but not a pixel 8a or 9a. There is a Few other reports OTA appearing on phones, but it is not yet widely available. It usually launches for all devices at the same time. Google, however, seems to be being deployed, which will correspond to the way in which the update of the 16 to 16 main QPR1 has become available.
