IOS 26 could only have a week at this stage, but that does not mean that Apple is based on his laurels. In fact, he has just published the first beta developer for iOS 26.1.
For the most part, the update does not include a multitude of new features for the best iPhones. Instead, he seeks to modify and improve certain aspects of the phone to provide a better experience. In a recent report, 9TO5 Mac Has detailed some of the biggest changes that have been spotted so far.
The first has to do with the keyboard in the telephone application, which itself underwent an important design change in the original iOS 26 version. However, the new beta version brings Apple’s new glass glass to the telephone application keyboard. Like the liquid glass itself, the new look is an acquired taste, but there is something to say for uniformity.
iOS 26.1 also introduces a new video exhaust for the Application of photos that was shown on X by Beta profiles. The update version appears in a small gray pill box. This would replace the current version, which takes the bottom of the screen with a shaded area behind the horodatages, which can be a little difficult to read.
Meanwhile, the calendar application now shows color reflections that take the entire screen width for events in the list.

It is not only the user interface that changes, because Apple Music users can slide left and right on the mini-player to switch between the songs. In addition to this, the function of translating directly from Apple Airpods, when used in conjunction with Apple Intelligence, obtains a management of five new languages:
- Chinese (Mandarin, simplified)
- Chinese (Mandarin, Traditional)
- Italian
- Japanese
- Korean
In addition to that, the update also includes Apple Intelligence support for eight new languages:
- Chinese (traditional)
- Danish
- Dutch
- Norwegian
- Portuguese (Portugal)
- Swedish
- Turkish
- Vietnamese
Unfortunately, iOS 26.1 does not include the long -awaited updates for Siri, including features such as understanding your personal context, consciousness on the screen and integrated actions. However, Apple clearly indicated that we will probably not see these additions for a while in 2026.
Overall, the new beta version offers some minor improvements, but it should be noted that this is the initial beta version of the developer. As such, we recommend that most users avoid downloading it for the moment. If you choose to do so, make sure you have a backup of your iPhone, as developing beta can be buggy and affect the operation of certain applications and features.
If you have already downloaded the update, let us know if there are other new features that you have found that have bitten your interest.
