The best note of notebooklm has just landed in Chrome for Android

Summary

  • Google Chrome on Android can now generate AI reading similar to the Audio Audio of Notebooklm for web pages.

  • The new feature is part of the latest version of Google Chrome, but is gradually taking place, which means that it may not yet be available for you.

  • To try it yourself, open a web page on Chrome, select more, then press Listen to this page. You should see an AI play button.

Notebooklm is that of Google Research tool fueled by AIand one of my favorite features he has is the possibility of creating Audio preview material you study. These audio previews operate similarly to a podcast and have two hosts generated by AI discussing the equipment in a conversational and engaging way. If you are trying to read a series of long items or manuals, audio previews are a way to make the process more pleasant, and now it makes its way to Google Chrome on Android.

With the latest Chrome update on Android (version 140.0.7339.124), Google deploys the possibility of making an audio preview generated by the AI-AI of any web page that you read (via Android authority). The functionality works exactly like in Notebooklm. When you activate it, Google AI creates a summary of the web page, which is then read in a podcast style.

So, if you are on a long web page and want to summarize, or if you just want to listen to a traveling item, the new overall chrome overview will be useful. However, even if you have the last chrome update, the functionality may not yet be available for you, because Google is gradually deploying it to everyone, likely to eliminate all problems before a wider version. It is also only available on the Android application, so if you are on iOS, you are not lucky at the moment. With all this in mind, here is how to check if you have it and how to use it.

If you want to test audio previews on Chrome for Android yourself, it is relatively simple to do so. The first thing you will have to do is open a web page with a piece of text on it, then press the More icons (the three points at the top right of your screen) and select Listen to this page.

By default, listen to this page simply the page aloud, without summary. However, if the new audio overview function is at your disposal, you can press a button in the lower left corner of the screen that looks like an audio wave shape with a star. When you press it, you will see “generate an AI reading” appear on your screen, and you can listen to the page in a podcast type format generated by AI that sums it up for you.

The only real drawback is that the voices of AI seem quite generic and lack emotional depth, but I suppose that it is to predict AI.

I have used several times the overall NoteBooklm Overview during the search for equipment, and I find that it is the best functionality it offers. So the fact that it is now available on Chrome is really practical. The only real drawback is that the voices of AI seem quite generic and lack emotional depth, but I suppose that it is to predict AI.

Hopefully Google will extend this feature to more Android devices soon, as well as iOS, so that iPhone users can also take advantage of it. Is the new audio presentation feature available for you on Google Chrome for Android? Let us know in the comments below.
