Google Home’s major overhaul has already taken place on iOS

The Google Home application is preparing for a major updating on October 1, but it seems that iOS users already have a taste of what will happen. A Reddit user With an iPhone 16 Pro Max has received an update from the Google Home application on their device, with the new user interface, the search bar “Ask the house” and Gemini for the house.

According to our previous report, the updated Google Home application includes a cleaner provision and reorganized navigation. The favorite tab is now renowned “welcome”, while the tabs dedicated to devices and settings have been deleted.

The most important change may be the integration of Gemini directly into the application via the “Ask Home” box. This HUB powered by AI will allow users to automate tasks via natural language, to search in video and house history and to obtain summaries of events generated by AI and notifications. Once activated for the first time, users will have to accept new terms before being deposited in a dedicated conversation screen.

Interestingly, while iOS users are already starting to see the new Google Home interface, Android users have to wait a little longer. He confirmed that the new user interface is not activated by default on this update version of the application. However, with some adjustments, he was able to unlock the overhaul.
