- Google brings its tools “Collaborate with Gemini” in Drive to Android and iOS Apps.
- The update allows you to summarize the documents, discuss subjects and draw facts on mobile files.
- The deployment began on September 22, but it may not yet have reached all users.
Google has been riding gemini features in Drive for some time now, catching up on file changes to summarize meetings. So far, however, the experience “collaborating with Gemini” was limited to the web. This changes, with Google announcing that the functionality is now available in Drive applications for Android and iOS.
As detailed on the Workspace update blogThis integration brings the web experience to your phone. You can ask Gemini to summarize long documents or even whole files, to withdraw fast facts from several files or to discuss a subject without searching manually through everything yourself.

The deployment began on September 22 and could take more than 15 days to reach everyone. It is online in the rapidly release and programmed liberation areas.
As usual with the features of Google Workspace, availability depends on your plan: standard business, Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Google AI Pro for Education and Google One Ai Premium The subscribers are all covered.
This is the last of a series of gemini upgrades for Drive. Earlier this year, Google added the management of the video summary and a “Catch Me Up” functionality which highlights the modifications and comments since you opened a file for the last time. Now, these tools fed by AI are joined by a complete collaboration of gemini on mobile.
