MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A company working with software company Oracle plans to build an AI data center in Memphis.
The Daily Memphian reports that Nate Golden of Golden Acquisitions purchased the building at 1341 Sycamore View.
Golden told The Daily Memphian he works with The STEM Practice, a technology company that works with Oracle.
The Daily Memphian reports that it’s not a massive data center like xAI’s Colossus; it will rather be modular.
Golden says the plan is to have part of the data center up and running by May 1 with plans to expand.
This is the third data center project announced in our region in the last two months.
In December, Legacy Power Capital announced its “Neural Nexus” project for downtown Memphis, near Autozone Park.
xAI announced last week that its third supercomputer would be built in Southaven.
