Chrome 136 removes a dynamic color on Android

Google largely deploys Chrome 136 for Android today with some visual adjustments, such as deleting dynamic color in certain parts of the browser.

This deletion is more obvious if the dark theme is activated. In the first example below, the Chrome 136 overflow menu is now gray instead of being slightly on the theme.

You will also notice this change in the tab switch. The card on the current page is unchanged, but everything else has a gray background.

The dynamic color has been removed from certain light user interfaces, as in the tab switch, but not in all places.

This change is quite minor in the large scheme, and something that you forgot after having initially noticed. It could be a bug, but it remains in the current beta and development versions of Chrome for Android.

The other visual change today is today to the corner radius of the cards in the tab switch. They are now much more rounded, with more menus (such as overflow) and elements updated in the coming versions of the navigator.

Chrome 136 takes place Via the Play Store.
