IOS 18 has brought a major change to the application of the Apple calendar: you can now see all your reminders alongside calendar events. But there is a change that would make the functionality even better.
The integration of “all or nothing” reminders of the iOS 18 application needs more options
I have already written how happy I am to see that the Reminders application integrates with Calendar.
This is a feature that I have wanted for years, because associating calendar events with reminders means that I can get a specific overview of my day at a glance.
But there is a main gap in the current implementation of Calendar.
In iOS 18, you only get two options to integrate reminders:
- You can display all the reminders planned on your calendar
- Or you can completely hide reminders
For some users, viewing all reminders in the Calendar application may well work.
But for me, and I suspect many others, it’s far from ideal.
It would be great if the calendar allowed you to activate or deactivate certain lists of reminders, in this way, you do not clog your calendar with reminders that are not relevant.

I really hope that iOS 19 brings the same functionality to the Apple Calendar application.
