YouTube deploying the miniplayer update on Android, iPhone

YouTube tackle A “small refreshment” of the miniplayer of the mobile application earlier this week, and this update now takes place on Android and iOS. This follows the “comments” that people sent after the launch of October.

Original 5/15: Last year, the YouTube application went from a miniplayer bar above the bar less than a floating design that takes after the image in the image. The advantage was to be able to watch the video while browsing the application, but some did not like the purchase of this new approach.

YouTube has now updated the design to remove the control strip at the bottom with play / break and 10 second reversal / skip. Now, a little shorter, you simply get the game / a break in the upper left corner with a persistent icon, although the circular container disappears after a few seconds.

The nearby “X” is in front of this and the lower edge always shows a red progress bar. Once the video is finished, you get a rehearsal button to see it again. As before, you can adjust the size of the miniplayer.

Meanwhile, you can now store the mini-fellow to the left or right side of your screen, such as the image window at the system. A handle allows you to bring it back quickly. YouTube noted on Tuesday how: “When you hide the miniplayer, your video will be interrupted and when the miniplayer will be visible again, it will resume where it had stopped!” We do not see this behavior today, the video continuing to play.

We see this update to the youtube miniplayer on Android (Version 20.19.37) Today.

5/21 update: This miniplayer overhaul in the application is now taking place on iOS with Version 20.20.5 of Youtube.
