Apple has just published iOS 26 beta 2 for iPhone, and although it is still in testing, this update brings a handful of welcome improvements and corrective beta that dropped after WWDC 2025.
One of the out -of -competition changes? Apple has changed the appearance of the control center. In Beta 1, users noticed that the new user interface in liquid glass, although elegant, sometimes made it difficult to read anything, especially if you used light wallpaper. With Beta 2, Apple added more blur behind the panel, which makes you easier to see. In addition, there is a new parameter under accessibility called “reduction in transparency” which allows you to further reduce the effect if necessary.

Musicans will appreciate the new Apple Music widgets. One gives you quick access to the radio live from your home screen, and the other allows you to search for songs directly from your locking screen, no need to unlock your phone or open the application.
There are also some small but useful adjustments throughout the system. For example, the “transcript for calls” option under live legends is now more clearly labeled as “recording call transcriptions”. And if you use Apple Wallet to follow your orders online, Siri can now scan your messaging application and automatically attract tracking information, which facilitates monitoring of your deliveries.
The other minor additions include a new ringtone called “Alt 1”, an updated description of the low power mode and a new accessibility section in the App Store. Safari has also obtained a small design change: the “+” button for the opening of new tabs is now in a slightly different location when managing the tabs.
Perhaps more importantly, Beta 2 corrects a major bug that affected the iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 models. Some users have found that their phones would not start after installing the first beta version. If this happens to you, Apple recommends connect your iPhone to a computer and restore it using Finder (on Mac) or the Apple Devices application (on Windows). You can then update the latest beta version or return to iOS 18.
Currently, iOS 26 beta 2 is available for developers, with a public beta version expected soon and a full version probably later this year.
