In China Ant group would have revealed a new health application fueled by AI for smartphones.
As CNBC reported Thursday, June 26, the application was made using artificial intelligence technology (AI) which, according to Ant, could be introduced abroad, marking the last example of the way Chinese AI is used for consumption applications.
According to the report, Ant – which operates the popular Alipay Mobile Payments application – has focused a large part of its AI development efforts on health care based on models of large companies such as companies like In depth And Alibaba.
The report noted a “revealing” sign of the global aspirations of Ant: the application has an English name: AQ. This means “answer your question,” Zhang Junjie, director general of health activities in Alipay, told CNBC.
He said users can consult AI avatars of real doctors specialists before having access to a diagnostic meeting or hospital care for more serious situations. The application can connect with more than 5,000 hospitals and nearly a million doctors in China.
Although Ant focuses on continental China, Zhang said that the application or technology behind it could be authorized to a third party. He added that many foreigners in China have already used a pilot version of the product, the ant planned to introduce versions of the application in other languages.
