YouTube creates launches on iOS to compete with Capcut and Inshot

It has been two years since the “YouTube Creator” application was launched on Android. He was introduced as a competitor of Capcut and Inshot Editor, but he is still far behind in this competition. At the time of his release, they discussed with 3,000 creators to make sure he met their needs.

Currently, there are 66 million and 21 million downloads from Capcut and Inshot on Android devices, respectively. Conversely, downloads of YouTube creators have exceeded 4 million since the launch of the platform. Although YouTube The creator is lagging behind in number, but its overall percentage of active users increases up to 28% in annual sliding. However, to increase its active users, Google decided to launch it on iOS. Recent studies indicate that Capcut and Instagram publishing downloads were 28 million and 7 million respectively during the current quarter on iOS. It clearly shows the difficult competition in the video editing space.

The truth here is that most creators already have their essential tools, and they find it difficult to move on to another tool, especially when there is no additional feature there. Therefore, to explode and compete with applications like Capcut and Inshot, he must offer something really more innovative, something that forces creators to stop and be careful. Google can focus on the integration of editing shortcuts powered by AI or YouTube Shorts for the Revolution. The iOS launch can bring new users, but it will always look like a companion application, rather than the creator’s first choice. The objective of becoming better, especially in a space already filled with useful and beloved tools, will take much more than your fanfare and your usual routine routine thrust. This time, the old tips do not cut it, they will have to completely rewrite the script if they want iOS users to care.

Google is preparing to bring YouTube Create to iOS devices almost two years after the exclusively launch of the video editing application on Android. The job lists examined by Techcrunch reveal that the company actively hires engineers in India for the iOS development project.
