Google Pixel phones were the first to receive an update of the Stable Android 16 software. This update provides features such as an advanced protection mode, anti-scalls during telephone calls, etc. Unfortunately, it seems that the update has also brought lock screen problems to certain users.

Some people on the Pixel phone assistance forum And Reddit (H / t: 9TO5GOOGLE) reported various locking screen problems on their pixels after the Android 16 update. These problems include Tapo-to Wake do not work, the screen does not light up (or to be slow to light) after pressing the power button, extreme light variations and fingerprint scanner problems. Some people also report a slow intermediate interface and the application is blocked when they are finally able to unlock their phone screen.

The users concerned have tried several bypass solutions to mitigate this problem. A prominent bypass solution is to restart the phone, but that seems to work only a few hours before the lock screen problems appear again.

An expert on the Google forum has also suggested that users reset their adaptive brightness as a bypass solution for the brightness problem on the lock screen. This can be done via Settings> Applications> All applications> Device health services> Storage and cover> Clear storage> Reset adaptive brightness.

Unfortunately, these problems seem to have persisted for almost a month now. Fortunately, the product expert confirmed that Google was aware of these lock screen problems and works on a fix. There is not yet a word on an exit calendar, but we hope it is as soon as possible.
