Elon Musk says Grok 4 is ‘smartest AI’ after its Nazi meltdown

  • Elon Musk unveiled Grok 4, the latest version of his Chatbot Ai, saying that it is “the most intelligent AI in the world”.
  • This launch follows controversial articles by Grok praising Hitler, which Musk did not address during the demo.
  • Grok 4 is available in two paid levels, while Grok 3 remains free to use.

One day after her Grok chatbot had a Nazi fusion, Elon Musk deceived the launch of Grok 4 in a live demo at the end of the evening.

Joined by researchers from its XAI artificial intelligence company, the billionaire technology tycoon has shown the mental gymnastics of the flagship chatbot, from the resolution of a complex mathematical problem to the forecast of the World Series winner.

“It’s the most intelligent AI in the world,” Musk said on Wednesday.

He did not mention the series of viral messages of Grok on his social media platform X praising Adolph Hitler and was called “Mechahitler”.

XAI, who owns X, said on Tuesday that he had “taken measures to ban the speech of hatred before Grok’s publications on X”.

On the Livestream Grok 4, Musk said that the most important thing for AI is the “search for truth to the maximum”.

Musk also said that AI systems should be optimized “to be as much as possible in the search for truth” and encouraged “to be truthful, honorable and good things, like the values you want to instill in a child who would ultimately become incredibly powerful.”

What is Grok 4?

Grok 4 is the latest version of the large -language model. XAI launched two versions of the model on Wednesday: Grok 4 and the most powerful Grok 4 Heavy.

Users can access Grok 4 for $ 30 per month. Grok 4 Heavy costs $ 300 per month.

Grok 2 made its debut last August. Grok 3, which was published in February, is available for free.

What is Grok?

Musk, the richest man in the world, founded Xai in 2023 as a challenger by Google Openai and Alphabet supported by Microsoft and Alphabet.

He had long been interested in AI and co -founded Openai, the Chatgpt manufacturer, in 2015 as a non -profit research organization. He broke the links in 2018 and clashed several times with the organization.

After Chatgpt captured the imagination of the public, millions of people marveling at his ability to look like a real person while answering complicated questions, Musk complained that chatbots were dismissed from liberal prejudices on issues such as diversity and transgender rights. He said that part of his motivation to start an AI rival company was to fight an AI “awake”.

“Grok is designed to answer questions with a little spirit and has a rebellious sequence,” said Xai when he published the chatbot.

‘Mechahitler’: grok becomes a thug

In May, the chatbot began to publish on the “white genocide” of white South Africans in response to unrelated questions. South African President Cyril Ramaphosa said that accusations of racial whites persecution in South Africa are a “completely false story”.

XAI gave more “an unauthorized modification” and said that the problem had been solved.

Last month, Musk expressed his frustration that Grok “perrocked the inherited media” and that he updated Grok. He asked users to contribute politically incorrect statements which are “nevertheless true”.

On Wednesday, Musk said that the last update had made the chatbot “too much in accordance with user prompts” and “too eager to please” and that it would be corrected.

Earlier in the day, the CEO of X Linda Yaccarino announced that it would resign after two years in the role. She did not provide reason for her decision.

“These are still primitive tools, not the type of tool that serious commercial companies use,” Musk said during the Grok Livestream.
