IOS 26 First launch of public beta expected next week – how to prepare for the design of liquid glass

Apple’s largest overhaul to its software ecosystem was announced last month, introducing the new liquid glass design, which provides translucent and glass elements in a dynamic interface for the interactive user engagement and environmental changes. It will finally be available for beta testers as part of the public beta iOS 26 next week, which is also when the third beta developer is published.

The new liquid glass design applies to the operating systems of the iPhone, iPad, Mac, watch, television and pro vision, but the projector is on iOS 26, which has already received mixed comments for liquid glass.

IOS 26 was published for the developers over a month ago, giving the first adopters a feeling of liquid conception in the real world and its impact on the user experience. While some users appreciated the translucent appearance and glass fluidity in the design elements, unanimous feedback was that it was too cool to be practical. The design had an impact on readability and made the text on the screen difficult to read in certain scenarios. Successive beta constructions for developers have solved these problems, but Apple was criticized to dilute the identity of the design of liquid glass in work of feedback.

The first public beta version could reveal what will exactly define the liquid glass. Will it be the original translucent design that some people appreciated, but several others have criticized, or will Apple play safe with more attractive frosty glass design elements? Public beta is intended for regular users because they carry fewer bugs and more stability.

So when is the first release of public beta construction iOS 26?

According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, iOS 26 will be widely available for beta testers on July 23 – the same day as the third beta developer. It is later that the usual Apple calendar for public beta, arousing speculation that Apple can take the time to finalize the essence of the design of liquid glass.

If you anticipate the version, here are the things you can do to prepare your iPhone.

First of all, iOS 26 will be supported on the iPhone 11 series and higher models, including the second generation iPhone SE and later.

Second, you should decide if you want unstable software on your daily driver. Even if public beta is less bulky than developing beta, they are still not stable enough to offer the best user experience. If you doubt how the applications will behave and the overall functionality of the iPhone after installing a public beta version, plan to jump this version and wait for the stable iOS 26 version, potentially until September.

Third, public beta can only be downloaded after going to the public beta channel. You can make the necessary changes to the software update section of your iPhone settings. And the last thing, don’t forget to save your data on a separate machine.
