Longtime Leaker and Youtuber Jon Prosser are prosecuted by Apple for accusations that he and others have reached confidential information on iOS 26 and his liquid glass overhaul.
In April 2025, as a series of leaks, Jon Prosser said he was redesigning what was to be called iOS 19. His videos demonstrated the rendering of an artist rather than real screenshots, and it would have been to protect his source. Now, prosser and colleague Michael Ramacciott are prosecuted by Apple for embezzlement of commercial secrets.
Apple’s prosecution lightens that Prosser and Ramacciott have reached a “significant amount of additional information on Apple’s secrecy that has not yet been publicly disclosed”.
The company says that it cannot determine what or how much information has been diverted, so it requires an injunction to avoid other leaks. Apple also wishes a trial by jury, with damages to determine during such a trial.
How Prosser and Ramacciott would have obtained information concerning the latter’s friendship with Ethan Lipnik, who at the time worked for Apple. It is said that Ramacciott used Lipnik’s development iPhone, apparently to the knowledge of Lipnik, and showed iOS 26 in Prosser through a Call Facetime.
Lipnik was subsequently dismissed for having failed to secure the development system required by the contract and the policy. Lipnik would have given Apple a copy of an audio message he received from Ramacciotti, which apparently understood the latter telling him what had happened.
As first spot by MacrumorsApple claims that Ramacciotti knew that “this access and this copy were not allowed and could put Mr. Lipnik’s career in danger, but he did it anyway.”
Apple also claims that the program was proposed by Prosser, which would have promised to find a way for Ramacciotti to obtain payment. Prosser would have shared his screen recordings with at least another person who recognized Lipnik’s apartment and said to Lipnik.
Apple was then informed of the incident, not by Lipnik, but by an anonymous source which, on April 4, 2025, sent emails “by email to the IOS 19” team.
So far, Apple, Lipnik and Ramacciotti have not publicly commented on the case. However, Jon Prosser has, by responding to tweets of Macrumors.
Interesting. This is not how things happened on my side. Looking forward to being able to talk to Apple.

The prosser tweet thread continues with him by adding: “For the record: I certainly did not” plot “to access the phone of anyone and I did not know the situation.”
In a separate publication on X, Prosser repeated the same text but added: “I didn’t have passwords.”
The new costume follows an apple set in February 2025 against the former engineer Andy Aude. The terms of the alleged flight regulation of Aude’s company secrets are not known, but the engineer described his leaks as a “deep and expensive error”.
