Apple accuses the influencer Youtube of illegally fleeing iOS 26

July 19 (UPI) – YouTube’s influencer, Jon Prosser, would have violated Apple’s intellectual property rights by illegally accessing and freeing trade secrets concerning the IOS 26 operating system from the technological company before its launch.

Prosser and the co-accused Michael Ramacciotti would have diverted trade secrets and violated the law on fraud and computer abuses, said Apple in A federal trial Placed Thursday before the American district court for northern California.

Apple revealed its iOS 26 operating system on June 9 at its world conference for developers, but said Prosser has published important details two months earlier.

Prosser’s YouTube channel, “Front Page Tech”, generally predicts the technological launches of consumer goods, including Apple popular products.

Apple says that he and Ramacciotti designed to “enter an Apple development iPhone, steal Apple’s trade secrets and take advantage of the flight”. Wired reported Friday.

Apple accuses the pair of conspiracy to enter the iPhone for the development of Apple Ethan Lipnik employee to obtain Apple trade secrets. Lipnik worked for Apple from 2023 to 2025, when he was dismissed by Apple above the leak, Business Insider said.

The technological firm says it has received anonymous advice on April 4 which accuses Prosser or Ramacciotti, which shared accommodation with LIPNIK, of engaging the Apple employee in a Call Facetime which discussed the current version of iOS 26.

The anonymous point indicates that Prosser has obtained details on the locking screen of the unprecedented operating system, the home screen, application animations and application interfaces.

He also says that Prosser had a video of the Call Facetime which shows the unique interface of the operating system.

Apple claims that Prosser learned that Ramacciotti needed money and was in place with Lipnik, who worked on the unprecedented operating system.

Prosser and Ramacciotti “predicted jointly to access the confidential and secret information of Apple via the development iPhone belonging to the Apple of Mr. Lipnik,” explains Apple.

The technological company also says that Lipnik provided him with an audio message from Ramacciotti which alleys that he used the follow -up of the location to learn when Lipnik would have left for an extended period.

Apple says that the message indicates that Ramacciotti has acquired Lipnik’s password and “burst into its development iPhone”, which Lipnik did not properly secure in accordance with business policy.

“As he detailed in the audio message, Mr. Ramacciotti called for Mr. Prosser and` os ” iOS “on the iPhone of development,” said Apple.

“He has demonstrated several features and applications, disclosing the details of the IOS 19 unpublished operating system,” explains Apple.

Prosser denies Apple’s claims against him.

“This is not how the situation took place on my side,” prosser said in a post x THURSDAY.

“I did not” plot “to access the phone of anyone,” continued Prosser. “I did not have a password. I did not know how the information had been obtained.”

Prosser said he was “looking to speak with Apple about this”.

Apple says that he has undergone financial losses over $ 5,000 over a period of one year and requests monetary and punitive damages of the amounts to be proven in trial, plus interest.

He also seeks to rebate injury to cease the alleged release of Prosser and Ramacciotti of Apple’s trade secrets to third parties without written consent and to return or help Apple to locate and destroy the trade secrets that could remain under their control.
