Most people want the best when they buy a new phone. We may not be able to afford the best, but we would always like to have it. But what is the best when you talk about a phone?
You show me any list of the best phones and I can easily emphasize things that are not the best. You too. The reason is that there is no way that one thing can be the best in everything; This particularly applies to something as personal as a phone. That’s why there is lists.
I hope you appreciate the phone you have, and you will certainly want to take advantage of the one who spends your harder money. This is something that we usually keep for a while, and be linked to something we don’t like for a year or more is not fun. This is why we are looking for “the best” before spending it.
I can’t tell you what is the best phone
I receive many questions from average consumers. I love this because, no matter how grumpy I can seem, I really like to help people who are proactive enough to ask a question; The saying “There are no bad questions“It is especially true. A question that I get more than any other is which phone is the best on the market at any time. I understand, many of us do not have the desire to live and breathe mobile technology, and the landscape changes so often that it can be difficult to follow everything, even for the people who do it to live.
The fact is that I cannot answer this question. There is no better phone as long as you have decided what you want it to be the best to do.
Best in what?
The quick and easy (and often bad) responses that you will find at the top many best phone lists at the moment are the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and the iPhone 16 Pro Max. In many ways, this is the right answer.
If you are considering raw performance, hardware and software functionalities, and in particular the ecosystem of complementary products, these two phones are better than the others. If this is what is important for you, everything you need to decide is whether you want an Android phone or an iPhone.
However, none of these phones surpasses many other models in terms of other key needs, such as affordability, AI capabilities or a unique factor. When we here at Android Central call them the best, we mean the best in things listed above.
Say that you prefer not to spend more than a thousand dollars on a phone and that you want the best value for your money. Companies like Motorola and OnePlus offer phones that give you a lot to love at a much lower price. You can go even further and look for the best phone you can buy for $ 500, and companies like nothing or Xiaomi are excellent options. The same goes for Samsung or OnePlus, which makes much more difficult to decide.
Certain criteria facilitate the determination of a “better” model. You have much less choice when it comes to something like a phone that folds or turns around. There are still enough models to continue further in the burrow of the rabbit.
You alone can decide what is best
If you asked me which phone is best right now and forced me to give you an answer, I would say the OnePlus 13R. It has an excellent price, it works well and it has a good set of features for its ~ $ 500 price. But this is not the phone I bought.
It is because I wanted something that most people probably don’t care too much – I need it to easily slip into my pocket while I am in a wheelchair. For me, a razr motorcycle was a better choice, even if I think the OnePlus is better in many ways. It folds up and does not break against the metal frame of my wheelchair. It was more important than better camera or a faster chip for me.
You have one or two things that are more important to you, just like me. Maybe you want a cheap phone with a camera that takes great photos without playing too much with the settings. Look at a 9a pixel. Or if you want a phone, you can correct yourself, you cannot beat a Fairphone 5. Before considering the best phone, you need to determine what you want to excel.
Ask yourself first
