For years, I rebounded between Lastpass and 1Password. I started my trip with Lastpass, but I abandoned it because of its user data protection history.
Later, I joined 1Password, but I was not comfortable storing my most sensitive information on their servers. I always felt that something was missing, a level of control and flexibility that I couldn’t really get.
My search for a new solution led me to Enpass, a password manager who adopts a fundamentally different approach.
I was initially skeptical, but after having made the change, I noticed that Pass corresponded not only to the basic features of 1PASSWORD and LASTPASS, but also exceeded my expectations with the functionalities centered on the user.

Unlike Chrome Password Manager or iCloud wordswats, EnPass is practically everywhere. It is not only an Android application; It is the full ecosystem. I installed it and synchronized on all my devices, and it works perfectly.
This means that I work on my PC at home, my MacBook in a cafe or my Linux machine for development, my passwords are always with me and easy to access.
The mobile experience is just as impressive, with native applications for Android and iOS.
Enpass also offers extensions for all main browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Opera. This allows an automatic filling without seam of connections and details of the credit card directly in the browser, as are the big players.
Although I do not use it, Enpass is also available on SmartWatch platforms.

The move to a new password manager can be difficult, especially if you are used to the familiar Uis of 1Password and Lastpass.
With Enpass, I found myself at home. The user interface is clean, intuitive and transparent to navigate.
Enpass also offers a range of models to choose. It goes beyond the username and password.
When I create a new entry, the application presents dozens of categories, credit card and finance to travel, computer and identity (such as my passport or driving license).
This makes it incredibly easy to store and organize all my sensitive information in a structured and secure manner.
The audit of passwords is another careful functionality that scans all of my low, identical, identical and compromise passwords.
The list of features continues with a solid password generator, 2FA, automatic filling and biometric support. Enpass also supports Passkeys.

For someone with hundreds of password entries, the organization is essential. The first thing I did was to take advantage of the labels. I can allocate several tags to a single input, which allows flexible filtering.
I have a social media label, a work mark and a financing tag. I can then quickly find all my social media accounts related to work by filtering the two beacons.
It is a simple feature, but it makes my trunk so much faster and more efficient.
The real game changer is the possibility of creating several chests. This allows me to separate my personal and professional life.
I have a main personal safe for all my private accounts, then a work safe that contains connections, grades and professional documents.
When I am at work, I can only open my work safe and none of my personal data is visible. This separation is fantastic for safety and concentration.
If I leave my job, I can transfer the safe to my personal device without having to go through a disorderly export and import process.
Flexibility in storage of your chests
Here is where Enpass shines
Now let’s talk about the main reason to choose Enpass rather than its rivals. It offers flexibility for the storage of jump data.
With 1Password and Lastpass, I was locked in their servers, their synchronization methods and their service conditions. With Enpass, I am in total control.
I can choose to keep my vault data completely offline, which is a huge security victory for me. This means that my passwords never touch the cloud. Enpass supports all the main services: Google Drive, OneDrive and Dropbox.
As a Microsoft 365, it was a killer functionality for me. I already have 1 TB of OneDrive storage, and I use it to store my trunk boxes (and obsidian vaults, but it’s the story for another day).
