A new version of iOS 26.0.1 may be released soon. What could change?

We already have an updated version of iOS 26, dubbed iOS 26.0.1 by Apple. But we might soon get a revised version of the already released update for iOS 26.

Mac 9to5 reported that an anonymous leaker has hinted that there could be a new version of iOS 26.0.1 with build number 23A357, separate from the original build number of 23A355. It should be noted that these types of leaks are rumors and not facts, although 9to5 Mac wrote that this leaker has “a history of accurately leaking versions of Apple software.”

The details of what might change with the revised version are unclear. 9to5 Mac’s only guess was that there may be iPadOS revisions for the planned release of the M5 iPad Pro later this month. In this case, iPhone users might not see any change at all.

Crushable speed of light

The version of iOS 26.0.1 we received already mostly fixed small bugs rather than making massive changes to the operating system as a whole. Updates included a fix for Bluetooth disconnection errors for some iPhone models and fixing blank app icons, for example.

iOS 26 itself was a massive change for iPhone users. It introduced the new Liquid Glass design, which changed the look of everything.

Users who regularly update their iPhone will need to keep an eye out to see if a new version of iOS 26.0.1 is actually available and what changes might come with it.
