Activision deleted Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile from iOS and Android application stores.
Last week, the company announced its decision following “the scope of the rationalized game” and “does not meet expectations”.
As a result, the game was removed from stores yesterday (May 18).
Although the game and its servers remain operational for those who installed it before the cut -off date, Activision will no longer provide new content or updates. Players can no longer spend real currency in the game.
“The decision was made after a meticulous exam,” said Activision assistance page.
“We are proud of the accomplishment by bringing Call of Duty: Warzone to Mobile in an authentic way, (but) he unfortunately did not meet our expectations with mobile players as he did with the PC and console audience.”
Players who have installed the game before its deletion will continue to have access to cross progress and shared stocks. The servers will stay online until further notice.
All remaining cod points (currency in play) can be used for the content available in the mobile store. However, players cannot buy articles, content or DCO points with real currency.
Activision has also noted that reimbursements “are not available for the previously purchased content”.
