Alternative App Store Skich has become available on Android after its launch on iOS in the European Union earlier this year.
The Android version of the store is currently on board the developers, with more than 100 studios interested to join. The platform offers a share of 15% income to developers.
Skich began as a discoveability platform on iOS after the implementation of the law on digital markets. He then extended to a mobile store after user comments.
“We have seen in the first hand how broken the discovery for mobile games, in particular for teams without massive advertising budgets,” said the CEO and co-founder of Skich Store, Sergey Budkovski.
“The launch on Android is the next step, this is our most important. We offer a real alternative where large games can increase on their own merit, not marketing expenses.”
The launch of Skich follows a court decision last week which saw the ninth Circuit Court of Appeals decide that it would not overthrow the verdict of the Epic vs Google case from 2023, as indicated by The penis.
At the time, the jury considered Google Play and its billing system as an illegal monopoly.
