Amazon Web Services Inc. revealed a new artificial intelligence tool today to act as a virtual teammate for enterprise users, providing digital agents to automate tasks, visualize data and take action within applications.
The tool, Amazon Quick Followcollaborates with users to get work done by connecting to company information sources to provide answers, take actions and automate work through an intuitive web interface and integrations with Microsoft Corp.’s Office 365, Slack and other digital workspaces.
“Working with an AI agent is now as easy as chatting with a teammate,” said Swami Sivasubramanian, vice president of AWS agentic AI. “Make a request, ask a question, or automate a task. Quick works with you to help you move directly from vision to action.”
Quick includes more than 50 built-in connectors to provide a comprehensive view of business data and productivity tools, including Adobe Analytics, SharePoint, Snowflake, and Google Drive. With integrations like OpenAPI and Model Context Protocol, customers can combine custom assets from even more services, including Atlassian, Asana, Box, and Canva, among more than 1,000 apps.
Users can organize these data sources into Spaces, a sandbox that integrates information and applications so that the platform can index and understand professional and personal context. With this broad connectivity, users and teams can create personalized AI agents that can focus on specific aspects of their work, conduct research, and take action.
The platform offers powerful features that leverage this unified view of applications and data. With Quick viewBusiness users can request analytical insights using AI agents to extract data from multiple business applications and create dashboards combining business intelligence and research. Beyond analysis and visualization, Quick search provides an agent who can dig deep into company data, web resources, and knowledge to provide comprehensive reports on any topic.
Amazon said it tested its search capability on the In-depth research bencha broad benchmark for research agent evaluation, where it received high marks for providing highly accurate and reliable research.
Routine and complex tasks can also be managed through Fast flows And Rapid automation. Flows allow users to create digital workflows using simple prompts to manage repetitive work, reducing human errors and freeing teams from busy work. Automate can coordinate complex business processes, even those that span hundreds of steps and multiple departments.
Quick offers extensions for popular browsers such as Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, as well as plug-ins for Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word and Slack. This allows users to access Quick where they work, in the applications they use during the workday, and stay in the “flow” of their work.
“We tested Quick with Amazon employees and key customers to ensure it meets the demands of today’s workplace, and the results speak for themselves,” Sivasubramanian said.
He said Amazon employees have used Quick to automate tasks that once took days, turning them into minutes, including developing critical reports and building custom agent fleets. Propulse Lab, a leading marketing automation company, used Quick to streamline its customer service operations, reducing average ticket processing time by 80%. With this performance extended to its entire activity, the company estimates that it will save 24,000 hours per year.
