Samsung seems determined to fight against Wi-Fi frustrations with its next UI 8.5. A new report indicates that the company should introduce a more intelligent way to manage Wi-Fi and the switching of mobile data, where AI intervenes quietly to maintain your stable connection.
As spotted by SammyguruThe next version of Samsung software will apparently add two tips to automate the switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data. The first, called intelligent links assessment, actively monitors your Wi-Fi in real time. If he detects that speed or latency is about to disembark, it can move to cellular before things become disorderly.
The second smart network switch examines your habits. If you have systematically abandoned Wi-Fi in a certain area because it is not reliable, the system will remember and automatically remember mobile data the next time you are there.
Turbo mode for your important things
Samsung does not stop changing logic. An 8.5 user interface could also introduce the priority of data in real time, a tool integrated into Wi-Fi settings that guarantee high priority tasks such as video calls, live flows or online matches obtain the bandwidth they need. Consequently, background tasks such as applications or cloud synchronization are removed so that your conversation or your game remains fluid. However, it appears that the “Secure Wi-Fi” option is missing in current constructions, which raises questions that it is reworked or temporarily sidelined.
The update is not yet final – the test builds would be stable enough to be used but always buggy, and the features can change before deployment. Early adoption will probably promote the new flagship products from Samsung, with older models that follow later.
If everything goes as planned, an 8.5 user interface could finally solve one of the most boring problems with mobile devices: lose your connection when you need it most. For Galaxy users, it could be a good reason to wait impatiently.
