About a month ago, I wrote a chronicle on a few ways to transfer photos from an iPhone to your computer.
Well, as it happens, sometimes, when I write on a specific subject, I often hear readers who feel a little excluded.
A reader wrote: “The column of this week on moving the Photos from the phone to the PC was 100% centered on the iPhone. What about Android users? Don’t you love us? ” (He included a laughing emoji.)
In fact, I don’t have an ox with Android phone users.
Sometimes, when I get a specific question, I will expand the answer in a column and when I finished, I wrote enough to fill the space I have. I have an infinite online space, but these columns also appear in the newspapers, and the publishers expect them to be a specific length (within reasonable limits).
When I finished answering the question, I have to decide if I have enough space to develop to include “the other side”, which could be Android users if I write on iPhones or Mac users if I write on Windows, or vice versa.
Now, returning to the question, the best / fastest way to move photos from an Android phone to a computer would be with a USB cable.
Connect the phone to the computer via USB and the phone must appear as a storage device as a flash drive. You will need to make sure that the phone is unlocked or that the computer will not find it.
When you connect them for the first time, look at the phone screen and / or the computer screen for contextual messages on the confidence of the new device and data transfer.
You can navigate the phone storage to open the folder with the photos, or you can open the photos application on PC or Mac and import the photos inside the application.
Another way to get photos and videos from the phone to a computer is via cloud download. If you use Google Photos or Microsoft OneDrive, you can use your phone to download your files to the cloud. Then you can connect to the same service on your computer to display and download them.
