Android 16 was officially deployed a few weeks ago, and in addition to improving protective and productivity improvements, the latest operating system has introduced several modifications to the way notifications are received.
If you are like me, you receive so many notifications that you sometimes miss important. Google has made two changes to your Android notifications, both aimed at keeping things easier to find.

What’s new with Android 16 notifications
Find your journey, your package or your food at a glance: It seems spectacularly spoiled to write this, but if I am wrapped in my favorite show, it can be frustrating to unlock my phone a dozen times to see exactly when my wing delivery at the end of the evening will land at my door. Android 16 corrects this with live update notifications on your lock screen.
Like live activities on iOS, the functionality allows applications to send updated notifications in time without obliging the user to open an application or even unlock the screen. It works for food delivery applications, carpooling applications, navigation applications and timers – essentially any kind of notification which is a continuous activity.
Although this feature officially made its debut with Android 16, which was deployed at the end of June, it will only obtain a complete deployment this year (speculation is on September).
Automatic group notifications: Again in Android 16 is a feature that automatically brings together notifications for the same application to make sure you are not exceeded. If you get several notifications in a row (for example, from your cameras at home while someone sets up your entrance and at your door), it will come together to keep your screen organized.
How to manage notification overload
In addition to deactivating individual application notifications, there are certain things you can do if you are exceeded. If you have a notification overload, there is a notification charging functionality for Android which manages the frequency to which an application can send notifications. If you get several notifications from the same rapid succession application, your phone will automatically reduce its volume and minimize these alerts while prioritizing calls and alarms.

Our phones scratch us more often than ever, but these changes will make them quieter and less boring while allowing us to see what we need.
