We knew that Android 16 would arrive soon, but it turns out that it happens very, very soon, as the Android developer account On Twitter published that he was launched today.
More specifically, the message (via Android police), says “it is almost time for the final version of Android 16! See you here tomorrow.” But the position was published last night, so the update must land today (June 10).
They are not precise on the time, but we know what to expect from Android 16, with one of the strong points being improvements in the advanced protection mode, which will help your phone away from thieves and pirates.

New features, but no new look
These improvements include automatic restart of phones after a period of inactivity and provide additional protection against USB hacks.
There is also a new battery health functionality, live updates feature that allows persistent locking screen notifications and more in detail, and more.
When Android 16 is launching today, you will probably not be able to get it on Google Pixel devices, because other manufacturers will need a little time to add their own customizations, but I hope that other handsets should start to get it soon. And if your phone is older than the Pixel 6, you will not be lucky, because the Pixel 5 does not obtain Android 16.
However, the biggest change Android 16 – namely the expressive visual overhaul of equipment 3 – will not yet come to anyone, as this should land later this year, as part of Android 16 QPR1 (quarterly platform 1). If you want to try early, there is an Android 16 QPR1 beta version.
