  • Android obtains several new animations as part of its expressive recast of equipment 3.
  • Google began to test one of the upcoming animations in the latest beta version of Android 16 QPR1.
  • It appears as a black superposition that develops from the Borders screen when you press the power button for a long time.

In addition to the refreshing user interface elements, the new Android expressive design language is defined to introduce new smooth animations. We gave you an early overview of these animations last month, and Google has now started testing the new long -pressure animation on the latest Android 16 QPR1 BETA version.

Google deployed Android 16 QPR1 Beta 2 last week alongside the Stable Android 16 update for its Pixel devices. In addition to the important changes, such as an office mode, an office window for tablets, personalized keyboard shortcuts and an overflow of the taskbar, the update presents the new compression animation that appears when you press the power button for a long time to invoke the voice assistant.

As previously indicated, it appears as a black superposition that develops inwards from the bordered screen and disappears just before the assistant’s superposition appears. You can see it in action in the attached video (via A_Button117 on Discord). This new animation will likely reach users with Android 16 QPR1, which should arrive shortly after Google unveiled the new Pixel 10 range.
