Google launched the deployment of Android 16 QPR1 BETA 2 yesterday, but the owners of pixels who seek to ignore the long ota installation on OTA devices are still waiting for the release files to become available.
When you are looking to install a new Android version, in particular a beta version, three routes are available. The most common is to wait for a live update to be installed on your device. It works via the Beta Android program and it installs as an update of the normal system. We noted around 3:30 p.m. PT / 6:30 HE last night that Android 16 QPR1 Beta 2 was widely deployed via this program, but the other means of installation of Google acted a little.
The other way to install a new beta version is via breeding, either using A factory image (which generally resets your device) or an ota file. The first is now available for download, but Google has not yet downloaded the OTA files.
If you Go to the Google websiteYou will find that the latest version listed for Pixel devices is BP31.250523.006. This is the QPR1 BETA 2 version. However, the OTA real files listed are still BP31,250502.008, the construction published earlier this month under the name of BETA 1.1. Although OTA files can often be lagging behind factory images and actual update live, it is strange to see more than 15 hours pass without these files being available for download.
It is possible that it is a simple surveillance, but if you are still waiting for these files, you may just want to try the standard Android beta program instead. Although transparent updates tend to slow down the real installation, it is certainly faster than waiting for the delay currently underway.
