The Android status bar has obtained a new layer of painting with Material 3 expressive, but the latest beta version of Android 16 QPR1 exchanges the position of Wi-Fi and network icons.
In Android, and in turn pixel devices, the status bar has long shown Wi-Fi, the cellular network and battery icons from left to right. But in the latest Android version 16 QPR1 Beta 2, Google exchange these positions. The network icon now appears to the left of the Wi-Fi icon.
He is a switch that does not matter objectively, but it is also the one that is strangely boring when you notice it for the first time, and difficult to ignore later.
Why change? We can only speculate at this stage, but it is difficult to ignore that this new layout corresponds to that of iOS. Coincidence?
