Android hey, Instagram kills the life of your battery

Calon this to keep a lid on bad news until there is a fixed to leave. Thus, Google (owner and developer of the Android operating system) did the stand-up (possibly) and admitted that the Instagram application aspired the life of the batteries of Android devices at a price much higher than normal.

There is now a correction which should return the use of the Instagram battery at normal levels. Just go in the settings of your Android device to manually update the Instagram application. In other words, if you have not already activated the automatic updates and the update has already passed now.

Finally, a confirmation

“Hi Android Community”, started a job on May 27, 2025 By Aadil_shaikh, community director on Google’s official assistance forums, “from today, Instagram deploys an update application that should solve a battery emptying problem on Android devices. Please make sure you have the latest version of the Instagram application (Build 382.0.0.49.84) to solve this problem. ”

Reddit users had already pointed out their suspicions that Instagram gnawed at the batteries of their Android devices at a much higher rate than normal, and with this message earlier this week, Google finally confirmed it.

But why is it long? Wouldn’t it have been more pleasant for Google to confirm the rampant suspicions of users that the Instagram application was at fault a little earlier? Allowing people earlier would have helped strengthen consumer confidence and Burni’s tarnished image of Google. Oh, and it would have been a decent thing to do.

Updates of the application on the Google Play Store must be submitted by the application developers, then examined and approved by Google before passing live, so it is not as if Google had discovered that there was a ready correction when the rest of us did it.

Too bad. If you have an Android phone or tablet with Instagram installed on it, go see if there is an update available. If so, download it. Otherwise, you already have the latest version and the problem must be solved for you.
