Google has confirmed that it would reveal a user and user design interface design “upper level” to Google I / O 2025, called Material 3 expressive. For the most part, the new state indicator of the Android battery is a horizontal battery icon with black digital text showing the current percentage. However, this will change according to the state of charge. The colors appear more than the existing battery indicator, filling the part of the icon of the battery which remains in charge.
You will see a green icon when your phone takes care, a yellow icon when the battery saving is active and a red icon when your phone has a low power. A flash will appear next to the state indicator when an Android device takes care, and a more sign indicates that the battery saving is activated.

If this was not already easy, the next Android battery state indicator seems to take more than a few iOS signals. Horizontal color battery icons with a fatty percentage has been a basic food of the Apple mobile operating system for some time now. On the basis of the screenshots above, the Google variant seems to have a larger and daring text.
It has black percentage text in the icon, while the Apple icon moves between the white text and the black text as a function of the current background. If you use a dark background on iOS, you will see a white battery icon and black text, and vice versa. It is currently not known whether the new state indicator of the Android battery will work in the same way.
We do not know when the expressive design modifications of Google’s planned equipment will be deployed. The company has a session concerning the modifications fixed for Google I / O 2025, it is therefore expected that we learn more, or on the Android issue beforehand.
