Android’s next to coming upcoming material design could provide new user interface animations


The Android user interface has not changed any change radically since the introduction of the equipment you. This also includes the new animations introduced in Android 12 that Google has refined and perfected since. The company should reveal the design of equipment 3, and we know that a large revision of the Android user interface is coming. Well, it turns out that new activities will also be part of it.

Android is ready to obtain new animations in the context of future modifications Material Design 3. The common theme of these animations is that the action affects not only the element with which you interact, but also that right next to it. For example, in the new animation to reject a notification, slide the notification partially or fully induces a slight horizontal inflatable effect in the other elements.

The same goes for the recent menu, where to slide an application to reject it adds an inflatable effect to the recent adjacent application. Quick parameters are a large overhaul and new animations.

Unlike the previous tiles which had only animated iconography, switching the quick parameters in the upcoming Android versions will also have an impact on the shape of the tile. When it is lit, it goes to a rounded rectangle, again while slightly pushing the adjacent tile.

Finally, there is a compression animation when you press the power button and a new waveform when adjusting the volume while playing music. Then there is a new animation on the locking screen clock which introduces agitation.

We don’t know when they come on Android. Since these seem to be major changes, we expect Google to deploy them with Android 17. Anyway, we could know more about these changes in the upcoming Android program that Google planned on May 13.
