With iOS 26, Macrumors Reported that Apple would upgrade the entire iPhone 16 line – except for the iPhone 16th – with the management of the new Qi2 25W standard. This will allow the iPhone 16 line to load wireless up to 25 watts when using a Qi2 25W charger compatible Or A Magsafe charger.
Previously, when they were associated with a non -Magsafée charger, iPhones were limited to wireless load speeds of 15 Watts.
Of course, the new Qi2 25W standard has just been announced in recent weeks and, when writing the editorial’s moment, there are only a few wireless chargers that support it – and Belkin recently published three.
The good news is that if you have an iPhone 16 – or if you get a new iPhone 17 when it is launched in a few weeks – there will be more options to load your iPhone wirelessly at its fastest possible speed. You can always use a magsafe certified charger, of course, but they tend to be more expensive.
If you have an iPhone 15 or an order, unfortunately, your iPhone will be limited to slower wireless load speeds. They will continue to maximize 15 watts when using a Magsafe charger.
