Apple has published a brand new firmware for AirPods Beta Testers with the support of the iOS 26 features, here are the details of the last update.
The airpods beta firmware provides five iOS 26 features to users
Airpods beta firmware has become much easier to install this year than ever – there is even a public beta version.
Today, for the first time since the launch of this public beta version, Apple has a new firmware available for testers.
Airpods Pro 2 and AirPods 4 received a new 8a5324b Firmware build (via Macrumors).
This is from the latest version, 8a5308b, which arrived earlier in July.
In particular, the AirPods Beta firmware includes early access to iOS 26 features such as:
- An automatic break when you fall asleep
- Studio quality audio recording
- Camera remote control
- Automatic switching for Carplay
- Improved vocal quality on calls
These last modifications are currently only available on AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 4, but ultimately at least one torque will also be available for other AirPods models.
If you want to join the AirPods Public Beta program, here is a step by step guide.
