Apple has published iOS 18.5 before the expected revelation of iOS 19 next

Apple released iOS 18.5 On May 12, more than a month after the publication of the company IOS 18.4. Although this update has brought more emoji to all iPhones, the latest update adds a few small modifications and a new pride wallpaper to your iPhone. The update also includes some Correction of bugs and safety fixes Everyone should download to help keep your device safe.

I am not surprised iOS 18.5 does not have many new features because we are only a few weeks old from the Global Conference of Apple Developers on June 9where the company should announce iOS 19. Apple therefore probably attracted a lot of attention and resources to the next main iOS update.

Apple has introduced some messaging application updates in iOS 18.5. One of these updates facilitates the adjustment of the application parameters by displaying or hiding contact photos by mail. Contact photos are the images to the left of the emails that help identify the sender.

The mail will display the default contact posters, but you can deactivate them from the application with iOS 18.5. To do this, open EmailPress the three points () in the upper right corner of your screen, then press Show contact photos. Now all your emails will simply display the object line and an overview of the message, similar to the appearance of the mail before iOS 18.

This option is in iOS 18.4, but it is buried Parameters And not easy to locate.

Another update concerns the categories. If the mode is activated, you can see a small tab on the right side of your screen near other categories. Slide the category bar near the top of the mail to the left, and this small tab will develop to reveal the category All mail. When you slide on the left to see All mailIt will be automatically selected, and you will have to press one of the other categories for non-selection All mail.

This category is not new; You could find it in iOS 18.4. But, there was no small tab on the right side of your screen to point out that it was present out of screen. SO, All mail Stolen under the radar – I didn’t even know that the option was there before the beta versions of iOS 18.5.

This category seems to be a means of simultaneously activating the categories and the view of the list – the pre -categories view of the mail. When you use All mailYou consult your messages without any categorization, as in the list.

IOS 18.5 of Apple also brings Some satellite featuresLike messaging, at the iPhone 13 range. This means that if you get out of the grid, you can always send SMS to people to let them know where you are. However, these features on iPhone 13 models are dependent on operators, and currently only Mobile offers them in the United States via Peak link.

T-Mobile Starlink is in a beta version, and the beta version is free and open to everyone until July, including people on other transport plans. After July, this will be part of the T-Mobile experience Beyond and Go5g Next Plans. People with other carriers, such as Verizon and AT&T, will then be able to access the $ 10 system per month.

Banner

The iOS 18.5 update also introduces the option of displaying a banner using the back tap function. Back Tap transforms the Apple logo on the back of your iPhone in a usable button that can open your camera, take a screenshot and more when you double or triple. And with iOS 18.5, you can display your iPhone a banner whenever you use Back Tap.

To activate the banner, go to Settings> Accessibility> Key> Press rear and press the rocking next to Spectacle. If you activate the banner and use Back Tap, the banner will appear at the top of your screen and read: “Back Tap Double / Triple Tap detected.”
