Developers could soon take advantage of Apple AI technology
Third -party developers would be able to incorporate Apple Intelligence models into their applications in iOS 19, in an initiative that could considerably increase the adoption of Apple’s IA efforts.
Apple AI IA offers are under Apple Intelligence’s banner. Although the deployment of features under the mast head has been slow, it can become even more useful in the near future.
According to a report Tuesday of BloombergApple works on ways to allow external developers to take advantage of its AI models. Thread applications will be able to incorporate features that look at the models that Apple has developed and implemented in its Apple Intelligence features.
The initial salvo will allow developers to use Apple technology for text editing, image creation and notifications, among others.
This will not be access to all Apple AI model technologies at the start. It will initially consist of features and functions that use processing on devices, not elements that use cloud -based AI models.
Sources add that the plan to provide access to the IA model to developers can be announced in the WWDC 2025 on June 9.

Apple’s opening by Apple to developers follows a fairly worn model that the company follows for its industry changes. The idea of having an apple ecosystem closed only before opening it to third parties was used in the past with the App Store, as well as Apple Watch applications.
It is very likely that access to its AI models will not only increase the position of Apple Intelligence in the application ecosystem, but will also offer other advantages. This may include developers creating new features for their applications using Apple technology or entirely new application classes, which cannot be found anywhere else.
