Apple has a new beta iOS version for developers – iOS 26 beta 7. And if you have an Apple developer account, BETA 7 is now available.
Although this beta version in particular is quite late in the cycle – it is the seventh beta developer for iOS 26, launched alongside the fourth public beta iOS 26 – it is always delivered with some new notable features.
Blood oxygen measurement
Perhaps the most important, the new beta version (alongside 9TO5MAC)) Measurement of Apple’s blood oxygen in the United States, a characteristic that has been disabled due to a patent dispute for several years with the manufacturer of medical devices Masimo. The functionality was relaunched in iOS 18.6.1 and Watchos 11.6.1 a few days ago, and was also brought to the new beta iOS 26.
For the functionality to work, you must have an Apple Watch series 9 or 10 series, or an Apple Watch Ultra 2.
Switch adaptive power notifications
Another new feature is the possibility of switching adaptive power notifications. Before this beta version, you could only define the adaptive power on or deactivate, but now you can also choose if you want to be informed that the phone has made performance adjustments to keep the battery life.
Mashable lighting speed
This function is available in the settings> Battery> Power mode.
Filter messages by drafts
Finally, if you go to messages and press the three -line icon in the upper right corner, you can now filter your messages by drafts.
This is almost everything for the moment with regard to new features, although other new undocumented features can surface as users dig in the version.
Corrected screenshot bug
Macrumors The reports according to which this version also corrected a bug which allowed too dark screenshots.
